[Maine-birds] Foggy Popham Beach - May 23

Interesting morning at Popham, w the fog lessening and thickening.  There at High tide, sat thru most of the ebb.  Highlights:

1. American Golden-Plover.  Not known as a spring migrant on the East Coast, but my second spring bird for this ecosystem.  Terrible photo thru the fog.  Moulting into alt plum.

2.  Least Terns - one offering a fish meal

3. at least 8 White-rumped Sands.  Tried for photos.

4.  Displaying Semipalmated Sandpipers.  Never before seen by me.
      Also notes on bill variability in this species
