Re: [Maine-birds] Paul Garrity

Paul is responsible for so many important aspects of Birding and bird
reporting in Maine..... I am so sorry to hear that my old friend has
passed... we have lost an important pioneer and a wonderful person!! Thank
you for letting us know. I will hold him and his family in the Light.

May his sprit and passion be remembered in all the ways Paul
envisioned his own life. Enabling was never a bad word in his
vocabulary, he was always enabling others to new heights and depths of
interest. Paul could make you feel like a million bucks when you had a
questionable sighting., you asked, you questioned, you learned. That
you had a learning experience was his ultimate goal.

He recognized everyone with an interest and encouraged us all to share
our experiences from beginner back yard feeder to scope-spotter and radio
frequency migration monitor.

Paul has been given his primary flight feathers. Fly High, Paul
Garrity, we will remember your gifts.

Sue Burnham in West Bethel.
