I just wanted to pass on that a Mountain Bluebird was seen in Lincoln, Penobscot co. last Sunday (a week ago). This is only the second time this bird has been documented in Maine
-- The observer got some great photos of the bird which was hanging out in some trees near the Carquest store on the River Road near the intersection with Route 2 south of town. Many of you will remember this as the place that held a Northern Hawk Owl for most of last winter and early spring.
No word yet, on whether its been seen since that time, but area birders have been notified and I will pass on what I hear. Will try to get the photos posted soon too.
