[Maine-birds] Peregrine, Snowy Owl, Red-shouldered Hawk, etc.

Kettle Cove: A Peregrine briefly swooped down after a gull along
Crescent Beach, then continued westward this morning.
Village Crossings: 4 Bluebirds, 6 Cedar Waxwings and 2 Red-bellied
Wood.
Pine Point: A Snowy Owl was perched on a blind behind the Clambake
Restaurant.
Holmes Rd. Scarborough: An adult Red-shouldered Hawk was perched
in the field at the corner of Holmes and Beech Ridge Roads this
afternoon. I returned a few minutes later and relocated the bird behind
the Beech Ridge tree farm on Beech Ridge Rd. This is probably the same
bird that had been hanging around Fuller Farm on Broadturn Rd., only a
couple of miles away.
Home--Holmes Rd.: 3 Purple Finches joined the 35+ Pine Siskins
that have been at my feeders since the Jan. 27 blizzard. Also a
continuing female Red-bellied Woodpecker visits my suet every day.
