[Maine-birds] Frenchman Bay

5/22/15...Two trips around Frenchman Bay today.
In addition to the usual species we had 11 Surf Scoters pass by headed east toward Schoodic Pt. Between Thunder Hole (Acadia NP) and Egg Rock a nice Whimbrel flew by, also headed toward Schoodic.
Herring Gulls are still incubating on Egg Rock as are the cormorants on Thrumcap. The Harbor Seals are pupping with more pups seen on each trip. Bald Eagles and Great Black-backed Gulls are competing for the afterbirth with the gulls often winning.
