[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and New Arrivals, 5/23-30

Hi all,

Sorry about the previous old post, there was apparently a little snafu in my draft folder there.  Anyway, these are actually my sightings of note from me over the most recent seven days:

- 1 NORTHERN SHOVELER, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/24 (Patch Bird #157, thanks to Zane Baker!).
- 4 Brant, Pine Point, Scarborough, 5/24 (with Gabriel Willow and NYC Audubon group).
- 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers (FOY), Pine Point, 5/24.
- 2+ Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Fort Foster, Kittery, 5/25 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, The Nubble neighborhood, 5/25 (with Jeannette).
- 7 NORTHERN SHOVELERS (4 hens and 3 drakes), Shore Road, Ogunquit, 5/25 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Willow Flycatcher, Florida Lake Park, 5/26 (Patch Bird #158! With Jeannette).
- 1 pair SANDHILL CRANES and 20+ Black Terns, Messalonskee Lake, Belgrade, 5/26 (with Jeannette).
- 20+ PURPLE MARTINS, Depot Road, Belgrade, 5/26 (with Bob Lewis, Don Mairs, Ed Slattery, and Jeannette).
- 1 Black-billed Cuckoo (FOY), Mount Agamenticus, York, 5/28.
