[Maine-birds] Mount Agamenticus, Cape Neddick

Saw two Indigo Buntings at the summit Saturday, May 30, both doing plenty of singing.  One east of the summit parking lot below the picnic table facing ocean; the other in trees edging the slope behind and right of the old fire tower.  Three of us also were lucky enough to see two Osprey, one with a fish, briefly landed on the main radio tower while the other chased it - three of us thinking it was a juvenile.  Lots of signature calling. Also saw five Turkey Vultures - four perched on the main tower, many Tree Swallows, at least one in a nesting box, a House Wren inspecting a nesting box, several Robins, Chipping Sparrows - all around 2:15pm.  Very warm, strong breezes, humidity up there too.  ( Kids' Nature Crafts in the lodge weekends 11-2 thru June. Drop-in and Free.)
