[Maine-birds] FOY, Mt. Battie, Camden, 4.20.19

Despite the dense fog and rain on Mt. Battie in Camden Hills SP this morning, had some FOY birds, including Chipping Sparrow, Palm Warbler, Hermit Thrush, and Winter Wren. Good numbers of juncos and Golden-crowned Kinglets up there. (Try as I might, could not pick out a Ruby-crowned.) Sharp-shinned Hawk patrolling the campground, as well.

Patches of Trailing Arbutus blooming on the "sunny" side of the road. (The other side of the road still sports some patches of snow/ice.) Also heard a Wood Frog calling from somewhere just below the summit.

Enjoy spring!
