[Maine-birds] ZONE-TAILED HAWK - Bridgeton, 4 May

This morning, Jan Jukkola photographed a ZONE-TAILED HAWK along Kezar Heights in Bridgeton. The bird was originally seen perched for a short time before flying off, and not seen again after 8:30AM. This represents a first state record (pending acceptance by ME-BRC) and makes it easy to wonder if this is a returning individual that has been seen multiple times in the northeast since 2014.

Double-check all those Turkey Vultures!

Good birding,
