[Maine-birds] Swallow at Beach Plum Farm

I wanted to post this for anyone birding along the south coast today.  I probably had a Cave Swallow yesterday, but due to poor lighting and limited views, as well as rain, I couldn't rule out a Rough-winged or Cliff Swallow.  I viewed the bird three or four times just as the rain started.  The one good ventral view as it flew overhead indicated that it was definitely not a TRES.  The area under the throat looked a bit dusky like a NRWS, but did not seem as dark as a CLSW.  Unfortunately I never got a dorsal view before the bird disappeared.

Look closely at the swallows that are floating around York county....

Good birding,
tom
