[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 11/1-8

Hi all,
My observations of note over the past 8 days included the following:

- first push of Purple Finches into the area this season, with White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos finally arriving in numbers.
- 2 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, St. Bartholomew's, Cape Elizabeth, 11/1.
- 1 continuing SPOTTED SANDPIPER, Pond Cove, Cape Elizabeth, 11/1.
- 1 American Coot, Grondin Pond, Scarborough, 11/1 and 11/3 (with Birds on Tap Roadtrip tour group).
- 4 American Coots, Grondin Pond, Scarborough, 11/1 and 11/3 (with Birds on Tap Roadtrip tour group).
- 1 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, Fore River Trail, Portland, 11/1.
- 1 Common Yellowthroat, Old Town House Park, North Yarmouth, 11/2 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 Field Sparrow, Pond Cove, 11/3 (with Birds on Tap Roadtrip tour group).
- 1 drake GADWALL, Prout's Pond, Scarborough, 11/3 (found by Matthew Gilbert; with Birds on Tap Roadtrip tour group).
- 1 Common Yellowthroat, Curtis Farm Preserve, Harpswell, 11/4.
- 636 Ruddy Ducks, 2 Common Goldeneyes (FOF), 5 American Wigeon, etc, etc, Sabattus Pond, Sabattus, 11/5 (with Dan Nickerson and Jeannette).
- 2 American Tree Sparrows (FOF), Thornhurst Farm, 11/7.
- 1 RED-EYED VIREO, 1 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, and 1 Winter Wren, Saco Riverwalk, 11/8.
- 1 "Ipswich" Savannah Sparrow (FOF), East Point, Biddeford Pool, 11/8.
- 1 Blackpoll Warbler, South Point Preserve, Biddeford Pool, 11/8.
- 1 YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, Eighth St, Biddeford Pool, 11/8.
- 1 ORANGE-CROWNED WABLER, Biddeford Pool Beach parking lot, 11/8.
