Comments: Jared Osher from NJ had a good camera and some excellent birding on the western side of the island. Mixed flocks are the rule now with fall migration well underway. Warblers, Hummingbird and many Red-breasted Nuthatch YOY

Comments: Jared Osher from NJ Merlin Adult and Juvenile attacking Herring Gull and Laughing Gull as they sat on the rocks in the inter-tidal zone just north of the road. Both the Adult and immature were chasing American Crow sitting in a tall spruce at the sea shore edge.

Merlin (Falco columbarius) 2 This was an amazing opportunity for Jared and myself as we witnessed the aggressive challenging behavior of both the adult Merlin and the Juvenile bird as the strafed Herring and Laughing Gulls and harassed a couple of crows sitting in a White Spruce along the shoreline north of the cable. AMAZING with some good photos
