[Maine-birds] Nighthawk and a Merlin, n. Penobscot County

One singleton on Millinocket Lake last evening in fading light (seen from shore of River Drivers Restaurant).

Today, 1 female Merlin in a marsh snag directly behind Katahdin Middle / High School, in Stacyville, n. Penobscot Cty.

And there are 50+ along a 6 mile stretch in Eastport this evening hawking insects alongside Bonaparte's gulls. They're swooping through my yard as I type. Cool.
