Re: [Maine-birds] SNOW GOOSE CAMDEN

When I first looked at the Snow Goose I hadn't known that Dan had seen this bird.  From a distance and with out bino's,  I thought it was a Gull  oddly sitting among the CAGO.  If they were flying there is no doubt that one would pick out the black wing tips and white body.   Must have been the same group we  saw them with at Samoset....  It could happen that there would be another group of CAGO with a Snow Goose.....but probably not.  The birds were sitting behind the breakwater at Samoset and easily accessible along the shore.   Good luck finding it again.

Subject: [Maine-birds] SNOW GOOSE CAMDEN

Canada Geese spent the night on the Megunticook River, above the dam at Knowlton St., for the first time this year.  About 10AM today there were 22 geese on the river and another flock of 14 birds flew south from the area of the middle school and sewer plant.  In the flying flock was one smaller white Snow Goose.  It may have been headed back to the Resort.  Thanks Dan for the original report. --
