Redpolls in Sanford Fri./ Re: [Maine-birds] Overnight arrivals

I had about 10 redpolls at and under my feeder briefly  in Sanford this morning (Fri 2/15) . The last ones were a dozen in the AM a week ago as THE snow storm was hitting.

Subject: [Maine-birds] Overnight arrivals

Bar Harbor 2/13/13 At sunrise this morning (Wed. 2/13) I had 32 Common Redpolls, two Pine Siskins, and 2 Goldfinch at my feeder. I had a precursor of a single Redpoll two weeks ago that remained for two days but these birds appeared overnight after an absence of six weeks. Thought I should mention this in case it adds to other sightings around the same time. A northward movement of birds that passed south early in the winter?? -- ---Check our nature, family, and other photos at: www.fotki.com/townsend-maine -- -- Maine birds mailing list maine-birds@googlegroups.com http://groups.google.com/group/maine-birds https://sites.google.com/site/birding207 --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Maine birds" group.
