[Maine-birds] Northern Maine Birds: American Pipits, Cape May Warbler, Woodland

Another gloomy day in the north with intermittent showers and light southeasterlies.  I was quite envious of all the talk of migrant fallouts in the southern end of the state...nothing like that is happening, yet, up here.

I did get a nice surprise this afternoon right in my dooryard.  A flock of 55 American Pipits flew over and settled in to the potato field behind my house.  I was about to chase them when a Cape May Warbler sang just over my head.  I had great looks for more than 10 minutes....My first of the year and yard bird number 141!

Leading the Aroostook Birders at Lake Josephine tomorrow AM at 7... should be good.
