[Maine-birds] Caged bird thought for the day

This may seem slightly OT, but I always hated seeing a caged bird. I see I'm not the only one. This may be taken out of context.  This is all that was quoted. (Of course this does not pertain to  rescued birds.) Forgive if any toes stepped on. I really don't know anything about caged exotic birds.

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Deep within the soul of the lonely caged bird / Beats the rhythm of a distant forest / Etched upon its broken heart / The faded memory of flight. -Ginni Bly, poet (b. 1945)

From Wordsmith... word of the day.
