Comments: Wayne and Amy Bodie from NJ.  I have not been in the Back 40 for a few years and was pleased to see that the bridge I built over a wetland was still there and functional! We were searching for Bobolink (25) which we found at the end of our trip. There was one male and one female that I could clearly ID. There was a flock of 25 Bobolink immature birds and females flying around the field providing us with great views in the scope and an opportunity to count them... They are located in the field to the south of the Crooked Road... A Northern Harrier female was scoped out in the bog/marsh east of the farm. This 250 acre plus marsh land is an excellent place for many species of birds.
17 species (+1 other taxa)

Northern Harrier (Circus cyaneus) 1 in the scope sitting in a tall tree in the middle of the marsh. Scoped images revealed much detail for Amy and Wayne.
Herring Gull (Larus argentatus) 3
Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) 3
Downy Woodpecker (Picoides pubescens) 1
Hairy Woodpecker (Picoides villosus) 1
Red-eyed Vireo (Vireo olivaceus) 1
American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos) 7
Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus) 10
Red-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis) 13
