Mount Desert Island Birds: Peregrine Falcon at Valley Cove  

A very slow day today with hot and humid weather dictating starting early.

Comments: Isabel Chiu and her two sons, 14 and 10 for a morning of birding and discussions about Sea Run Fish, the future of Maine inter-coastal fisheries and connection to the avian community of the Gulf of Maine. Today was a typical August day with high humidity, hot and sticky by 10 AM,  82 degrees F. One Peregrine Falcon adult was seen flying over Valley Cove.

Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) 1 adult bird seen soaring over the Valley and St Saviors' mountain.
