This morning my son-in-law was backpacking 15-month-old granddaughter on their frequent "adventure walk" on Arrowhead Drive, heading into the trail that cuts over to the farm where they hold the farmers' market, when he saw a huge white bird with a big wingspan heading in the direction of the farm. They hoped to, but didn't see it again when they reached the open farm fields.
