[Maine-birds] Birding between Machias and Pembroke

We had a nice birding day - saw the two male and one female Barrow's Goldeneye in East Machias as well as six Ring-necked Ducks.  We failed to find the Snowy Owl on the Leighton Point Road in Pembroke (we checked in the morning and again in the afternoon). Across the road from the "Snowy Owl House" we heard a Northern Shrike singing and saw it as well.  Another Northern Shrike was observed on the Passamoquoddy Trail in Pleasant Point.
