[Maine-birds] Hairy woodpecker with crossed beak

I spent some time at the Green Point Wildlife Management Area in Dresden around lunchtime today and came across a very sociable Hairy Woodpecker with a crossed (broken?) beak. It was still pecking away at some soft wood. I have some clear photos, but I don't have a public album where I can post them - let me know if you want me to send you a shot.

Several vocal Bluebirds too!
