[Maine-birds] Boothbay Snowy Owl and upcoming event

First, apparently there is a Snowy Owl that continues near Boothbay – seems hard to believe, but then human timing isn’t everything. Photo sent to and posted at Maine’s Favorite Birds Facebook page.

Also wanted to let you know about an upcoming event of interest to birders. The Natural Resources Council of Maine and Maine Audubon are co-hosting Minimizing & Adapting to Climate Change: Perspectives from the Conservation Community, Monday, May 5th  6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m at MA’s Falmouth headquarters. Panel includes wildlife biologists, researchers, educators, and policy experts speaking about efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Free, w/ light refreshments.
