A nice flight of 8-9 Northern Rough-winged Swallows were seen above Taylor Road today, all exhibiting bat-like flight & dull white/buffy breasts; one heard calling “jritt”.
Also noteworthy were the pair of Ospreys that have had a nest atop the cell phone tower for at least a week now. This is the first nesting pair at Taylor Road since the tower was built several years ago (so likely the first nesting pair, period).
