[Maine-birds] MACHIAS SEAL ISLAND REPORT

Sparrows continue as the dominant species. HERMIT THRUSHS are slightly increased.

DOUBLE CRESTED CORMORANTS passed light but steady today.

Most notable increase was KESTRELS, from a couple yesterday, up to about 3 dozen today, mainly middle to late afternoon.
I saw several conflicts between Kestrels as well as 4 definate kills. Bad day for the sparrows.

The only other raptors were 3 or 4 MERLINS.
