[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and New Arrivals, 5/21-26 and "Birds on Tap - Monhegan!" program Update

Hi all,
Some sightings of note for me over the past six days included the following:
- 1 Peregrine Falcon and 1 Merlin, Capisic Pond Park, 5/22 (with Gabriel Willow and New York City Audubon).
- 7 Northern Shovelers, Pelreco Marsh, Scarborough Marsh, 5/22 (with Gabriel Willow and New York City Audubon).
- 1 Common Nighthawk (FOY), over our yard in Pownal, 5/22.
- 177 Black Scoters and 1 Surf Scoter, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 5/23 (with Jeannette).
- 3 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Fort Foster, Kittery, 5/24 (with Jeannette).
- 500+ Tree, 100+ Barn, 50+ Bank, 10+ Cliff and several Northern Rough-winged Swallows, Sanford Lagoons, Sanford, 5/24 (with Jeannette).
- 2 Olive-sided Flycatchers (6 total species of flycatchers) and 15 species warblers, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/25.

We will be welcoming Dr. Stephen Kress, Vice President for Bird Conservation for National Audubon and Director of The Puffin Project as our keynote speaker.
