[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and Shorebird High Counts, 9/18-14.

Hi all,
My non-Sandy Point observations of note over the past seven days also included:
- 13 SANDHILL CRANES and 1 AMERICAN BITTERN, West Fryeburg Rd, Fryeburg Harbor, 9/9 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).
- 1 adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, Popham Beach State Park, Phippsburg, 9/10 (with Jeannette).

And my shorebird high counts this week were as follows: 
Black-bellied Plover: 2, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 9/12.
Semipalmated Plover: 64, Popham Beach State Park, 9/10 (with Jeannette).
Killdeer: 28, Mayall Road, Gray/New Gloucester, 9/13.
Spotted Sandpiper: 1, Eastern Rd Trail, Scarborough Marsh, 9/14 (with Erin Walter).
Greater Yellowlegs: 29, Eastern Rd Trail, 9/14 (with Erin Walter).
Lesser Yellowlegs: 22, Eastern Rd Trail, 9/14 (with Erin Walter).
Whimbrel: 2, Popham Beach State Park, 9/10 (with Jeannette).
Sanderling: 29, Popham Beach State Park, 9/10 (with Jeannette).
Semipalmated Sandpiper: 182, Popham Beach State Park, 9/10 (with Jeannette).
Least Sandpiper: 60+, Eastern Rd Trail, 9/14 (with Erin Walter).
White-rumped Sandpiper: 2, Popham Beach State Park, 9/10 (with Jeannette).
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER: 2 juvs, Popham Beach SP, 9/10 (with Jeannette).
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER (FOYs): 1 juv, River Road, Fryeburg Harbor, 9/9 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group) and 1 juv, Mayall Road, Gray/New Gloucester, 9/13.
