[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 3/16-22

Hi all,
My other observations of note over the past seven days also included the following:
- 2+ Common Redpolls, Hunter Road Rec Fields, Freeport, 3/20.
- 1 Northern Shrike, Bradbury Mtn Hawkwatch, 3/21 (my 136th all time species from the Hawkwatch!)

My personal "first of years" this week included:
1 Brown-headed Cowbird, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 3/16 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
1 Northern Pintail, Wharton Point, Brunswick, 3/16 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
2 American Wigeon,Wharton Point, Brunswick, 3/16 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).

Other migrants:
The first push of Song Sparrows was noticeable in the area, along with a steady but increasing trickle of Canada Geese, American Black Ducks, Red-winged Blackbirds, and Common Grackles. The first big blackbird flocks were arriving by Thursday.
