Quick follow-up to Andy Aldrich's report from Sunday -- as of yesterday the ice conditions were much the same (open water only on #4, in the back), but there was a nice assortment of ducks:
Common Mergansers 12-15
Hooded Mergansers 4-6
Ring-necked Ducks 6-8
Common Goldeneye 6-8
Black Ducks 12-15
Mallard 4-6
Bufflehead 6-8
Canada Geese 6-8
Gull sp. 20-30
A young bald eagle treated us to a fly-over. Nice, kinda surprising FOYs: one Great Blue Heron, three Killdeer.
