[Maine-birds] RE: Litchfield Shrike and Green-winged Teal

Umm, make that Ring-NECKED Ducks. Interestingly, last year about this time, they were the focus of one of our columns in the Boothbay Register: https://www.boothbayregister.com/article/mysterious-ring-necked-duck/99887

Jeff and I swung down to Pleasant Pond in Litchfield yesterday and saw an impressive numbers of ducks, with higlights including 99 Ring-NECKED Ducks and our FOY Green-winged Teal.

Up around the corner, on Upper Pond Road, we watched a Northern Shrike sitting on a telephone wire and hunting in the grass.

Jeff posted on Twitter a short clip of the Bohemian Waxwings that were landing on the snow for water in our backyard yesterday https://twitter.com/Bird_Wells
