Last Monday a colleague of mine (Nate Jones) reported to me a TUNDRA SWAN. At the time I assumed it was probably a Mute Swan. On Friday he brought me pictures.
I went and saw it Friday afternoon and wasn't able to talk with him about reporting it to the larger birding community until today.
The land owner is fine with people coming to look at the bird as long as you stay on the public road (tar). As always, please respect private property.
I was able to see the bird from the road while it was in a pond. It has also been seen on the nearby turf farm in a ditch.
Here is my checklist....
He told me this morning that it was still there yesterday afternoon.
