[Maine-birds] Possible Ruddy Duck near Jackman

A co-worker of mine reported a male Ruddy Duck on the Moose River (near Jackman) on a canoe trip over the 4th. He's not a birder but he reported the blue bill of the male and thought it was a Ruddy. He didn't remember exactly where he was when he saw it, but said it was a backwater pond-like part. Would be a great potential species for the Maine Bird Atlas if anyone is canoeing the river in the near future (people do a loop on the river and Attean Pond). There are no entries to date in Maine with breeding codes.
