My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:
- inland Glossy Ibises continue (see previous posts).
- Trip to Seal Island as Guest Naturalist with Isle au Haut Ferry Services "Lighthouses and Puffins Tour"
1 Surf Scoter, Stonington to Seal Island.
"TROPPY" the RED-BILLED TROPICBIRD, etc, Seal Island
1 Manx Shearwater, near Saddleback Ledge
- 5 Least Sandpipers (First of Fall minus one taken by a Merlin), Pine Point + Jones Creek, Scarborough, 7/16.
- 1 Black-bellied Plover (FOF), Pine Point, 7/16.
- 10 Semipalmated Plovers (FOF), Pine Point, 7/16.
- 2+ Semipalmated Sandpipers (FOF), Pine Point, 7/16.
