Saturday on the Lewiston - Auburn CBC a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes were
found at the South Bridge (Cedar St. in Lewiston). Best viewing is from
the Rollodrome parking lot (12 Riverside Dr., Auburn). If gate is
closed, park on the street. Dunkin Donuts is across the street too. You
can also walk the bridge sidewalk. They were with 9 Common Goldeneyes
and three Hooded Mergansers.
Birds on the CBC were low. Lots of food, even full feeders, but few
birds. Reports included 2 Redpolls, 2 Siskins, 1 Hermit Thrush. Two
Peregrines were also seen on the Franco-American Center (old St. Mary's
church) on Cedar St.
