[Maine-birds] Re: Carolina Wren!! Sanford

I have also been seeing one visiting our suet feeder lately. for the past few years, they have been coming to our yard in the winter. These are birds that are rapidly expanding their range northward, and will probably start becoming more and more common around here in the future.
I'm not sure if you already have some, but try putting out mealworms for the wren. They absolutely love them, and i have to refill my feeder daily when it's around.

Very excited to have a Carolina Wren on my new bigger porch feeder just now!  I know back home near Syracuse they were half hardy. Maybe here too since one was reported recently. Saw a wren shaped bird briefly across the porch, but couldn't believe it. Then it flew to perch right by the window! It has come back again; got a photo.
