[Maine-birds] Merryspring Nature Center, 4.19.20

Highlights at Merryspring today:
FOY drumming Ruffed Grouse
2 soaring Red-tailed Hawks
FOY Hermit Thrush
FOY Brown-headed Cowbird
2 singing Ruby-crowned Kinglets
several singing Pine Warblers
1 Palm Warbler

For butterflies:
FOY Mourning Cloak
FOY Comma

Wood Frogs calling in the vernal pool

I don't recommend this preserve if you're trying to keep your distance from other people. Only 2 cars when I arrived but about 15 cars by the time I left, with lots of kids running around. It was a challenge getting back to my car without coming upon groups of people.
