[Maine-birds] Black-headed Grosbeak — Capisic Pond, Portland

This morning while looking for the continuing dickcissel at Capisic Pond, I encountered a first winter male black-headed grosbeak. This bird was reported by Frank Paul on January 14 and to my knowledge has not been seen again since. It was very loosely associating with the flock of house sparrows that hang out near the swale.

I also had a common redpoll and a pine grosbeak! No dickcissel yet though.
