The REDWING put on a great show all day at Capisic Pond. It apparently flew into the park a little after 8AM as large numbers of robins were coming in from the northwest (same direction they were seen heading to roost last night). The Redwing was foraging with the robins for most of the morning but eventually settled into a large multiflora rose bush for the day. There it would sit low, sometimes on the ground, often seen eating snow, for 10-15 minutes at a time, then work towards the top and feed on the fruit, and repeat.
