Saw an A. Woodcook catching some rays at the edge of the property. Sitting briefly and stretching its wings, then retiring into the woods. But as he took its few steps from where he was to the woods he was shimmying each leg with each step. I've never witnessed this behavior from a Woodcook before. Reminded me of foraging Snowy Egrets with less animation.
