[Maine-birds] Belgrade birds

I took my Belgrade 5th graders birding this a.m. and we saw:

bank swallows
tree swallows
robins
chestnut sided warbler (heard)
had great looks at a redstart who sat on a wire for a few minutes
purple martins
the most exciting moment was when a broad winged hawk made the mistake of flying through the martins' yard. Everyone mustered to escort it out of the territory.
4 cedar waxwings
a pair of bluebirds
great crested flycatcher
a pair of phoebes
a catbird
a bluejay
several mourning doves

A great walk!
