Was surprised and delighted to see an immature male WW Crossbill at feeder today. Feeder is just outside my kitchen window and he gobbled sunflower hearts steadily while my 9-year old son and I tried to get pictures of his bill on my cell phone which was right at hand. Mostly rosy rump pictures, of course, but he was remarkably unfazed by our activity.
