Re: [Maine-birds] Kittery Point, Marbled Godwit

You've actually got a great picture of a juvenile Hudsonian Godwit. Another nice bird!

Almost a week ago my sweetheart told me about a big brown shorebird she'd sat near on the rocks at Seapoint while it did a bathing dance. I went looking the next day but only saw it briefly as it flew off. It seemed an odd bird to see on the rocks at Seapoint, and I'd never seen or heard of Marbled Godwits here so I kept checking next few days, hoping for a pic. Then yesterday it occurred to me that if I were a Marbled Godwit still hanging out in the area I'd be on the tidal mudflats upriver from the Fort Foster pier at low tide. And there it was.
