The single American Coot continues in Camden Harbor. The regular cohort of Mallards and domestic ducks there was joined by a pair of Canada Geese, 1 black duck, and 6 Buffleheads this morning.

-- At my parents' house on the Megunticook River (old mill pond area), there's quite a bit more open water since last weekend:
Bufflehead - 5 pairs
C. Goldeneye - 2 pairs
Ring-necked Duck - 5 males, 1 female
Am. Black Duck - 2
Hooded Merganser - 1 female
Also this morning I was pleasantly awakened by the sound of juncos singing right outside our bedroom window. Three trilling juncos were joined by 1 Song Sparrow there.
Happy Spring!
