Solo TV soaring high over the Buffalo Ranch in Bath this afternoon. Either the same one popping up in various spots in Maine, or simply one of several arriving spring migrants.
Viewed in the context of bar charts, and distrib maps of the entire east coast of US and Canada, these birds seem to be right on schedule (although the Jan birds might have been a tad on the early side. It's just us that are sick and tired of recent weather. Wouldn't surprise me terribly to have a Black Vulture pop up soon.
