[Maine-birds] Snowy Owl Moody Beach

4-3-14  Great photos of what looked like a male immature Snowy atop roof of 121 Ocean Avenue residence (past Bourne Ave towards Moody). Small flock of C Geese flew over and the owl launched north as after them.

Plenty of ocean ducks in Fisherman's Cove off Webhannett Drive in Wells - seems to be RB Merganser haven, also Surf Scoters, Loons, Eiders, Grebes, Buffleheads, Scaup  - photo'd Greater Cormorants there last week on the rocks offshore. Still plenty of Canada Geese in the salt marshes. (Scaup in the estuary off Mile Road)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch behind Ogunquit, west of turnpike, heard FOY Woodcock 7pm, saw FOY female Cowbird, saw FOY Eastern Phoebe. Grackle/RW Blackbird invasion on Day 3 here.
