[Maine-birds] Gyrfalcon at the Lubec Bar, Sat, 27 Dec

Mac Hunter just emailed that he saw a gray-phase Gyrfalcon at the Lubec Bar on Saturday. He also reported 7 pintail in Machias.

Speaking of pintails, there were 27 at the mouth of the Abby yesterday. This species has become increasingly regular in Dec and Jan in recent years but they seem to be everywhere and in substantial numbers this winter. The Abby is ice free at the moment but that will likely change in the next day or so.

Best,

Peter
