What is the Abbey?  Short for the river that runs from Richmond south?

I stopped by the Abby this afternoon and found the same large flock as yesterday.  With scope in hand, I was able to count all the ducks individually.

47 N Pintail - numbers for this species are remarkable this winter.
270 Mallards
35 Am Black Ducks
1 Lesser Scaup feeding on the mud like the dabblers, unexpected behavior.

Best,  Peter
