[Maine-birds] Re: Brunswick - Middle Bay

Nope - THE John Adams would have been 5 years old in 1740.  Probably not out there snapping up real estate in Maine.

found this today:

Manuscript map #8 of Brunswick's Middle Bay, the land of Macgregor. On the reverse of the map is written, "Plan of 59 acres of land belonging to Macgregor of which he sold to John Adams at Middle Bay." This map was commissioned by the Pejepscot Purchase Company, and the map number was probably added later by John McKeen, Clerk to the Company.

So, when searching for Western Grebes or whatever on this body of water,  consider its history, circa 1740.  And I guess the reference is to THE John Adams??
