Winds might have been swirling, as a storm was passing around the area. Very dark clouds with rain from them in the distance, just after a complete rainbow and goodly surf made for an interesting evening at the beach.
We had just come from Laudholm Farm, where the scheduled talk on geology and climate change was cancelled' to be rescheduled. There, singles and swirls of varied swallows in the air, and Chipping Sparrows on the ground were observed on a short walk, as the dark clouds rose from the west.

Subject: [Maine-birds] Common Nighthawks, South Portland, Rte 1
Stopped to look at a couple Common Nighthawks flying over head and found a groupd of at least 50+ flying around.
Given their general location looks like they might be around the South Portland Municipal Golf Course. What a fun sight.
