[Maine-birds] RFI: Atlantic Puffin Viewing Late May

Hello.

My family is going to be in the New England area near the end of May and are hoping to make the trip up to Maine to try for Atlantic Puffin, Black Guillemot and Roseate Tern. Based on my research, it appears that both Cap'n Fish's and Hardy Boat are excellent options to go to Eastern Egg Rock. However, I am going to be traveling with my two young daughters so I was wondering if anyone who had experience with these trips could tell me:

1. Does the larger vessel that is used by Cap'n Fish's offer a more stable ride (I am concerned for my daughters)?

2. Does the 5:30 PM departure time of Hardy Boat offer better chances of viewing these species in late May?

If anyone has time to backchannel me, I would be extremely grateful for your time.

Thanks in advance.
